You Can’t Sit With Us

Why do Black people always hang out together? Why do Asian people only hang out with other Asians? Do minorities only have minority friends? In short, we don’t, they don’t, and NO! But, it looks like we need to get to the bottom of this trope. In this episode, Alana and Jacklyn explore topics like social and cultural identity, the minority identity development model, and the teenage coming-of-age film, Mean Girls, to get to the bottom of this corny cliche.
